DON'T GIVE UP
by: carol

As I was reading your answers I realized that some of your source of unhappiness is exactly opposite to what has made me so unhappy and gotten me in this rut.

I planed for my future! I thought of nothing but my future and worrying about my future and always behaving in an appropriate manner and always being considerate of others. I have my bachelors degree from a prestigious university and I have my Doctorates.

However, im at a point where I am supposed to be so happy... but all the worry and anxieties and the feeling of "not making it" kind of mentality has just gotten me so down this past year.

The point Im trying to make is, and I think I read it here on this website, it was a quote by Winston Churhill, "success is never final, failure is never fatal", (and im sorry but there's another line i don't remember at the moment), the point is... failure is only when you give up, so don't give up!

I've been feeling like a failure or being scared of failing at my success, but what i should do now is realize how far i have come and how if i give up, that will be the real failure. I will never give up, EVER!

Way to go Carol! Here's the full quote:

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."
-Winston Churchill

Here are a few more good ones...

"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."
-Winston Churchill

"There is no such thing as failure. There are only results."
-Tony Robbins

"Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure."
-George Edward Woodberry

"Develop success from failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success."
-Dale Carnegie

Carol, way to see failure as an opportunity for growth! Don't be afraid of failure - embrace it and grow through it! For example, when I hit bottom, if I had given up, I would not be depression-free today and would not be helping others all over the world with this website! ;)

There is hope! You are worth it!

Blessings,

Merri Ellen
