Racial Discrimination ( School work)

by Jesse
(Australia)

Dear Cure-Your-Depression,
My time being here at Park High School has been one of the best times of my life. The teachers are great and so is the majority of the cohort, however, there is only one issue that has been bothering me lately. Ever since I’ve moved out of Park High to this new school of mine, I’ve been constantly treated a bit differently and at times in unfair way. Being the only Asian in the whole school I feel very isolate rather than a sense of belonging in my year group. No one would talk to me nor would they even ask me to do anything for them. Even my year coordinator seems to avoid me at times. I wish I would have never moved into this school, but because of difficulties that my parents have regarding work.
